About

I'm a work and organizational psychologist based in Belgium and the UK, currently restarting my academic career after major setbacks (retaliation with employment loss, financial issues, health issues, criminal investigation) caused by my investigative whistleblower work. This work focuses on investigating institutional misconduct in academia in a paper with the title " Science Eroded: Ethical Oversight Failures, Merit Exception Policies, Respect Policies, and Whistleblower Retaliation in Management/Applied Psychology Academia" https://www.jonaslang.info/userdata/manuscript-v4-osf-rendered.pdf

I used to be a tenured Associate Professor in the work and organizational psychology at Ghent University and also a permanent-contract part-time Distinguished Reserarch Professor at the University of Exeter Business School. I am also a former fellow of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and winner of the Jeanneret award because of my whistleblowing.

I also served as an Associate Editor for Organizational Research Methods and the Journal of Applied Psychology (until I was dismissed because of my whistleblowing), and as the Editor of the Journal of Personnel Psychology in the past.

My earlier research focused on multilevel modeling, measurement of individual differences, and discontinuous change, with publications in Psychological Review, Psychological Methods, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Annual Review of Organizational Behavior and Organizational Psychology, and others. You can read about my former work in this brief research statement, and my list of publications.
